About me...
Hi, I'm Arabella, a qualified Art Psychotherapist offering 1:1 therapy sessions for adults and young people. Alongside my private practice, I work part-time with a children's mental health charity and provide therapeutic support for children within school settings.
Before training as an Art Psychotherapist, I worked as a primary school teacher. This background, combined with my therapeutic work, has given me over eight years of experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of emotional and mental health needs.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time outdoors; whether that's gardening, visiting the beach, or reading as well as rock climbing and yoga, which help me stay grounded and connected.
I aim to meet you where you are, bringing curiosity to your unique experiences and offering a gentle, supportive, and non-judgemental space. Sessions can include art-making, talking, or a combination of both, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. No artistic experience is needed.
I believe in creating a compassionate space where we can explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
My Practice...
I am passionate about supporting clients exploring neurodiversity, identity, trauma, learning difficulties, stress (such as pressures of higher education), and anxiety. My practice is person-centred, trauma-informed, and non-judgemental. I’ll meet you where you are, working at your pace to create a safe, supportive space.
What is art therapy?
Art therapy is a specialised form of psychotherapy that uses art materials as a means of exploring emotions and experiences that may be difficult to express verbally. The creative process can also provide regulation and a sensory outlet, helping individuals feel more comfortable and supported as they begin to open up.
